A LOVE LETTER TO ALL MY CLIENTS AND NEIGHBOR'S

I just wanted to take a minute to send my love to all the clients and neighbor's that have reached out to me . I opened in 1975 at 816 Madison Ave , then to 39 Christopher street , then to 47 ave A , and now to the little store at 43 Ave A  ..

I have been through the death's  of my entire immediate family ,

the loss of Jose Antonio to aids after 20 years of making fashion in new york in 1998

I ended up  Homeless in Seattle , then opening up my own store again at 711 Third Ave , Seattle Wa ....in 1990 , and back to New York's east village in 1997 , Sept 11th , Hurricane Sandy , Superstorm Irene, and insurmountable obstacle's to keep a small mom and pop shop open in New York ....I have buried hundred's of friends and fellow artist , and 3 uncles to covid.

But this Covid -19 pandemic , has been the hardest thing I have ever faced.

I'm watching my neighbors close up their restaurants, and small shop's on Ave A

.....Clients lose their jobs and apartments.  while rents remain high and unaffordable.

The depression and uncertainty is amazing !!!!!

THEN I HAVE PEOPLE WALKING IN TO PURCHASE MY WORK , BRINGING IN REPAIRS FOR US TO DO

I HAVE PEOPLE WALK IN AND SAY " I DON'T NEED ANYTHING -BUT - ILL BUY SOMETHING SO THAT YOU, AND YOUR HUSBAND, CAN STAY HERE.

I HAVE PEOPLE WALKING IN TO CHECK IN ON US AND WATCH OUR LOCATION WHEN I AM NOT HERE

ROSH HASHANAH 2020 , FINANCIAL 'S , COVID 19-  -BRINGS A VERY SPECIAL MEANING TO THIS HOLIDAY

I am so humbled by this outpouring of love , that it has motivated me to continue Galleria J Antonio

Esty, Go Daddy , Facebook , and other ways of reaching out to everyone are all in the works.

Thank you for showing me that you appreciate what I do here.... Small Crafters ,  LOCAL  Designers, and my work are all dedicated to your love.

I promise , this will pass ....

I promise to stay here at 43 ave A ,

and I promise not to forget that there are still good people in this world ....

  1. I loved going into the Watch Doctor when Jesse was in Seattle and was so excited to visit in New York. Sure enough Galleria J Antonio met and exceeded expectations. Beautifully curated and presided over by the always knowledgeable and fun proprietor, Jesse. Hang in there, the world needs you and the gem you’ve created. Judge Judy ( Seattle).
